Akoni Eyewear at Optikhuset Stockholm
Akoni combines Swiss precision with Japanese craftsmanship. Its design language draws on objects that are handed down and kept for a lifetime, such as wristwatches, fountain pens and vintage lighters. The frames are made in titanium and acetate by master craftsmen in Japan and finished by hand. Every detail is engineered to last for many years.
Akoni was founded in Lugano in 2020 by Rosario Toscano and Salma Rachid. Toscano is a trained optician and previously ran the eyewear brand Dita, where among other things he was responsible for Thom Browne’s eyewear. All Akoni frames are made in Japan and are sold mainly through selected specialist opticians.
